From the President’s Desk

My dear all,

I consider myself utterly fortunate to exchange my thoughts with most unconventional minds. Telecom industry has the unusual graph in the past 2 decades. It has seen the innumerable ups and down during this phase.

But here we are standing tall with plethora of turbulence in our kitty. And I like to appreciate and applaud to all my members of TWCO for garnering unconditional support to their better halves. Half the battle is won when we are united. Last one year we have gone through the worst of our times. Disease was one but complications were too many. COVID created enough flutter in our lives to make us vulnerable. But we had gathered strength to fight with it bravely and consider ourselves winner in our own right. One thing which we learnt during these trying times was the importance of human interactions.

Earlier we take it for granted. But telecom industry paid its dividend to the society by assisting them to stay connected through internet. How so ever we criticise but virtual plain became our saviour throughout the lockdown phase. Many of our TWWO’s did exemplary services by distributing masks, sanitisers, food packets, blankets etc. to the underprivileged. Philanthropy doesn’t have a stipulated path.

Our organisation has brilliant mind and they devised many novel ways to generate novel philanthropic ideas. One such was assisting the students of class 10 and 12 by providing free doubt classes virtually at TWWO centres. Investment in the coming generation will save us to become bankrupt in the means of keeping the growth of our society stable. We represent the whole of India and all the centres contributed either by working for the pollution free environment or by providing goods and employment opportunities for the needy.

Tirelessly we are working and learning from each other. We have mutual admiration as well which aspire us to do more. I started my journey in TWCO in year 1996 and joined as a treasurer. Learnt the very basics of balance sheet in numbers and in acts too. By choice I accepted the role of homemaker but TWCO gave me the golden opportunity to hone my academic skills of business management. Together we organised many events in lucknow and made equal number of mistakes but these life lessons gave a new perspective. Later in Meerut I participated in many cultural events while donning many hats.

In 2006 joined TWCO Delhi and became the integral part of it. Honestly, publication of ‘Sancharika’ was my most cherished memory as I was creatively involved and constructively learning the nuances of printing and publishing. Came across over abundance of  hidden creativity in our homemakers who are entrepreneurs in every sense. Ask me why? A house is built with lots of care, dedication, sweat and tears and a home is the product which takes care of our gen-next. So I personally like to congratulate all the mothers and wives for their selfless service but request them to start living for themselves as not in materialistic sense but in qualitative sense.

Lots of love and best wishes to you all.
